Questions, bugs, and how to manage a subscription.
Email us — we read every message.
If you’re reporting a problem, it helps enormously to include your device model, your iOS or Android version, and what you were doing when it happened.
Subscriptions are managed by the store, not by us, so cancelling happens in your account settings:
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. You have to cancel it in the store, or it keeps renewing.
Open Settings → Restore purchases in the app. That asks the store what you already own and restores it. If it still doesn’t appear, email us and mention which store you bought from.
No. Sign in with the same Apple Account or Google account, then use Settings → Restore purchases.
Refunds are handled by the store, not by us. For Apple, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google, use the Play Store order history. If something went wrong on our side, email us and we’ll help you make the case.
On iOS, mostly yes. Your statistics, level progress, score, streak, trophies, coin and hint balance, and settings are backed up to your own iCloud account, so reinstalling normally brings them back — including hints and coins you paid for. Your current unfinished puzzle is not backed up, so that one is lost.
The backup lives in your Apple ID, not on our servers — we cannot see it or restore it for you. If a reinstall did not bring your progress back, check that iCloud Drive is enabled for Sudoku XL and that you are signed in to the same Apple ID. See our privacy policy for details.
On iPhone and iPad, open More → Game Center. There are four leaderboards: today’s daily challenge (fastest time), total points, longest day streak, and 16×16 puzzles solved. Your 20 trophies show up there as Game Center achievements too.
You need to be signed in to Game Center on your device — there is no separate account. A daily challenge time counts only on your first solve of that day’s puzzle, with no hints, and the board resets at midnight UTC. Game Center is not available on Android.
Turn on Settings → Letters on big grids. Values 10–16 are shown as A–G, so every symbol is a single character. You can also pinch to zoom the board, and tapping a cell shows its pencil marks at full size underneath.
Yes. Every puzzle is checked against a logic solver before it ships, and the difficulty is the hardest technique the puzzle genuinely requires. If a puzzle cannot be reasoned out, it does not go in the app.
Open Guide → Print Pack. Choose a size, difficulty and how many puzzles, pick A4 or US Letter, and choose 1, 2 or 4 puzzles per sheet. The answer key goes on separate pages at the back, and you can turn it off.
We don’t collect your name, email or phone number, and you never need an account. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
